Tips For a Stress-Free Mortgage Process

 


Whether you are purchasing a new home or refinancing an existing loan, you want the mortgage process to be as simple and stress-free as possible. These do's and don'ts will help guide you throughout the mortgage process:
 
The Do's:
  1. Do continue making mortgage or rent payments
  2. Do stay current on all existing credit cards and other accounts
  3. Do remain with your current employer 
  4. Do keep the same insurance company
  5. Do continue using credit as usual
  6. Do contact us with questions or concerns
 
The Don'ts:
  1. Don't make any major purchases
  2. Don't change banks or transfer credit card balances
  3. Don't take out any new loans or make any cash deposits
  4. Don't open a new credit card or apply for new credit
  5. Don’t close any credit card accounts
  6. Don't pay off collections, charge-offs, loans or credit cards (unless we recommend it)
