Michael Marcus has over 16 years of experience in the industry with proficiency in both residential and commercial lending. He has a comprehensive insight of the local market and a vast understanding of numerous loan programs ranging from Conventional, VA, FHA, and USDA loans, renovation loans including FHA 203k/Streamline and Conventional Homestyle to county grants within the Maryland market (i.e. MMP & DC Open Doors). His strong work ethic/availability and commitment to service have earned him several top producer awards throughout his career. This is evident by the fact that Michael is dedicated to making his borrower’s interests a top priority by keeping the lines of communication open, providing education throughout the loan process, and exploring when needed, every possible resource in order to get their new loan closed still in a timely manner.   These factors have helped Michael earn a high level of trust with both his borrowers and agents alike, and the reason why many come back to him again for future refinancing and new home purchases needs.

As a Senior Loan Officer at George Mason Mortgage, Michael is able to provide in-house processing, underwriting and closing, which ensures a smooth lending experience.

Michael, who resides in Bethesda, Maryland is a proud member of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors (GBBR), the DC Association of Realtors (DCAR) and the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR). In addition, he is passionate about his involvement with Autism Speaks, the Kennedy Krieger Institute (Johns Hopkins) and the Ronald McDonald House.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University with a concentration in Real Estate Studies.
